Position Summary

The Bramcolm team is seeking a Senior Snowflake Engineer with deep expertise in Snowflake data architecture and a strong command of cloud technologies. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data environments that serve as the foundation for our analytics and business intelligence solutions.

Given our support for a diverse range of clients, you will have the opportunity to engage in projects across different domains. This means the role may involve participation in entirely unrelated projects, requiring a high degree of flexibility and adaptability. You will need to quickly understand new data sources, business processes, and industry-specific requirements to deliver effective data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Engineering

  • Architect, design, and optimize Snowflake data warehouses and other cloud-based data platforms
  • Establish robust data modeling practices and define metadata management and governance frameworks
  • Develop and manage end-to-end data pipelines—ensuring efficient ingestion, transformation, and delivery of large-scale datasets
  • Implement data quality controls, validation checks, and alerting mechanisms to maintain accuracy and consistency

Technical Leadership

  • Enforce data security measures, privacy regulations, and industry compliance standards within all data solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and translate them into scalable Snowflake architectures
  • Adapt rapidly to projects spanning various domains, aligning each data solution with project-specific goals
  • Monitor data performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure system reliability

Collaboration & Communication

  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical guidance and actionable insights
  • Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, software developers, and business stakeholders
  • Continuously learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and methodologies to address evolving data needs

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, data warehousing, or a similar role
  • Proven expertise with Snowflake, including performance tuning, micro-partitioning, and advanced security features
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and IaC tools (Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • Understanding of data security, privacy regulations, and compliance standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with public health data analytics and government sector projects
  • Familiarity with public sector compliance frameworks (HIPAA, FISMA, FedRAMP)
  • Experience working with government reporting standards or large-scale government data systems
  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and quality frameworks
  • Experience with Tableau and other data visualization platforms
